This message was created by user in the Codemaster community forum named "Mantank" Well so after nearly a day spent finding the correct resolution for this annoying issue I finally find it in the Codemasters community tech support forum Gotta say, Steam definitely have their ♥♥♥♥♥ together when compared to Microsofts Games for Windows Live. Go back to game, sign in again, enter reg code and it works! Press Home at the initial sign-on screen.Ĭlick link to signup to live (even though you already have an account)Įnter email address you've already registered on web page The problem there is that you haven't actually created a profile and therefore no settings will be saved.Īnyway, here's what I did to get it to work. I read that a lot of people are having the same problem and just press ESC when presented at the initial login page, then they can sign in at the main menu. To verify I wasn't going insane I logged into Windows Live Marketplace and also via the Windows Live portal page with no issues. The symptoms I was experiencing were that whenever I signed into the first sign-in screen, I'd enter my username, password and game key then continually receive an invalid username / password screen. To be honest the only reason I wanted to get the sign in working is so the bloody game remembers my controller settings >:| Bought Dirt 3 through steam the other day (that all went smoothly apart from steams obvious server overloading / bandwidth saturation issues) and fired it up and had my first experience with Games for Windows Live.Īnyway, I've put together a quick note on how to get Windows Live to work with Dirt 3 if you're having problems.
